Apprentice Electrician Cover Letter Must-Haves

The focus of the letter must be on the reader, not on yourself. You can write a document as engaging as this professional apprentice electrician cover letter sample by taking points brought up in the job description you found and relating your experiences to those points. You need to have information in the letter that is not already given in the resume or else the reader will have zero drive to continue reading. Your conclusion must neatly summarize the entire document while thanking the hiring manager for reading. Make sure you request an interview in lieu of demanding one.

Best Action Verbs for an Apprentice Electrician Cover Letter

Active verbs such as adapted, built, designed, engineered, overhauled, remodeled, repaired, and solved are great to make your application as interesting as the above professional apprentice electrician cover letter sample.

Cover Letter Text

Dear Steve Shambaugh,

I have just completed trade school and am ready to put my talents to good use as an apprentice electrician at Southwest Electric. I am familiar with a wide range of devices, and I know how to work with customers exceptionally well. My focus lies in residential properties, and I have learned all about troubleshooting devices, including light fixtures, generators, fans, and more. There was one occasion where I was out in the field with my supervisor, and he could not figure out what the issue was with the lighting in a certain room. I recommended something, and that turned out to be the problem. However, fixing wiring is only half the battle. My last supervisor frequently assigned me to communicate with the clients and let them know of the progress of projects. It also fell on me to inform the customers about what they should do going forward in order to ensure that certain problems did not happen again. This required me to speak in easy-to-understand terms so that someone who was not an electrician would know what I was saying. Although I am just getting started in my career, I believe I already have a lot to offer. Perhaps the most important thing I can offer is a willingness to continue learning and getting better. Thank you for your time, and please get in touch if you need any more information from me.

Sincerely,

John Doe
