I recently completed my Graduate program with a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I am seeking a full time position in the field of design, development and verification of analog/RF integrated circuit, mixed signal, and printed circuit board (PCB) design. I would like to give you a brief overview about myself and also about my experience and knowledge gained in the field.
Academically, I have done extensive course work during my Masters program to make myself technically competent in Analog RF, mixed signal, analysis and design of IC, VLSI, Computer Architecture and I am eager to further implement these concepts in my work. Added to my academic knowledge, I have also gained rich school and industrial experience for a year in the field, working as an Engineering Intern in a design group that develops and tests RF circuit design for Wireless communication.
I have experience with various types of test equipment through both my lab work as a student, as well as my internships, which are further described in my resume. I have used it to perform automated measurements on RFICs both at DC and at RF frequencies. I also have extensive experience with probe-station testing of various devices for characterization purposes over varying environments.
I have also written many RF IC measurement programs that utilize the above types of equipment such as IP3, IP2, Phase Noise, Conversion Loss, P1dB, and S-Parameter measurements, etc. I have familiarity with RF circuits and design principles, and have used them to design Matching Networks, LNAs, Mixers, and VCOs.
In the internship, I assisted a team designing of a simplified, lower phase noise, low power consumption, and faster switching PLL Frequency Synthesizer and designed and developed high and low-frequency customized PCB boards of PLL Frequency Synthesizer. I gained rich and invaluable design experience unforeseen in any academic environment from the internship. The challenges I faced and the lessons I learnt from the opportunity, helped me develop a strong skill-set to approach and effectively cater to any new challenge one may frequently face in an industry environment. The opportunity also helped me develop the important quality of working with the team and individually towards the goals and deliverables of the team. Added to this, working on time limited design projects helped me schedule my work and have a systematic way of approaching a given problem to provide a solution in the shortest possible time. This effectively improved my daily throughput and deliverables over the year.
I sincerely hope for an interview call from you in the near future. I am willing to accept any position related to the field where I can grow in experience and technical competence. I also wish to relocate to any location of yours in lieu of gaining rich experience in a company like yours in my chosen field of interest. I would be happy if I can meet you or members of your organization and have a chance to elaborate my potential contributions to your company with you. Thank you for your time and consideration.
