I reviewed the qualifications for the VP eCommerce (MediaShift) position, and I believe I am a strong fit. I can bring the following experience to MediaShift:
An entrepreneurial leader and proven executive for many years now starting multiple companies as well as running divisions of others.
Started an interactive ad agency that flourished through the internet implosion in 2000 and ran until 2004. I was CEO.
Started a high technology virtualization company and productized what was essentially consulting services. I was CMO.
I have either been the CEO or reported to the CEO of all my positions going back to 1996, and involved in many strategic conversations about the respective companies.
I have worked on both the agency side and client side of the ecommerce industry.
Agencies including iXL, TMi/Citrus and IMS.
Client side opportunities including Fox Broadcasting, Bluelayer Solutions and LeadPoint.
I have been responsible for operations in a number of companies including the development of P&L processes that provide actionable direction.
Developed extensive P&L analyses for the agencies I ran.
Developed extensive budget tracking for client side opportunities.
As an executive I have developed, built and managed numerous relationships with partner companies.
At Citrus I managed an average of 25 team members over 6 years. At IMS I managed a 35 person interactive marketing division of the agency.
Many of the staff at Citrus has gone on to become executives or senior management at interactive companies and agencies.
Citrus grew 300% in revenue each of its first three years.
Have been focused on ecommerce and direct response marketing (iXL, Citrus & IMS) and lead generation (LeadPoint) for 12 of the last 13 years.
I have had tremendous success because clients and staff alike have believed and trusted in me. I bring Midwestern values and work ethic that impresses clients and inspires staff. I am a consummate team player and not afraid to do what it takes to get the job done.
