If you heard of the listing through a friend or another employee in the company, then they should get the credit for referring you. Explain why this posting caught your eye and why you feel you can fit into this position effectively. Make sure that you highlight your skills and techniques that you can offer.
• Write with Flair –
If you have the talent to write a witty cover letter then do it. There is no need to hide your personality when writing a cover letter. You want to be remembered after the recruiter has sorted through dozens of resumes. Your format needs to have something to set it apart from all of the others. Just remember that when you are writing, even though you want to show your personality, do not use contractions or slang. You can covey your personality using proper English and grammar. Each paragraph must convey a meaning and there must be a flow from one paragraph to the next.
